Man, What a Year

MY WORD. This last year has been amazing. Where do I even begin?
Well, at Thanksgiving of the previous year(2005) we decided to make it a point to meet with Jeremy's brother, sister-in-law, and their two kids at least once a month for coffee to catch up on life. You see, they live in Meridian and I swear the people we live closest to we don't spend time with them like we should. Meeting with his family has been such a great addition to our lives. We thoroughly enjoy the coffee get-togethers. We did very well at keeping up with our monthly get-togethers so far. Although, I think we are due again.
In March, we went to Portland to visit Jeremy's other brother, sister-in-law, and their two kids. They had a ton of baby things for us because WE were going to have a little one ourselves. Well, they hooked us up. That was a great trip. We wish we could see them more often.
In April Jeremy took the FE exam so we postponed celebrating our second wedding anniversary. We decided we both wanted to get massages for our anniversary but God had something else in store for us. Anyways, our second year anniversary came without celebration. For sure, we will celebrate it this year.
In May, on Saturday the 12th we went to coffee with Jeremy's brother and sister-in-law. Well, that morning our sister-in-law asked if I had felt any contractions or anything like labor because our baby boy was due in about six weeks. Weird as it was, early that morning my water had broken, we had not told anyone that yet and I still went to coffee, so when she asked me that, I said "No, nothing yet" Well, I lied. Shame on me. When we got home we decided I better call the Dr to see what I needed to do, even though I really knew what to do but it was just WAY TOO soon. Well, the Dr said I needed to go to the hospital asap, so we did. Just like I thought. When we got there sure enough my water had broken and they admitted me. Long story short, on Tuesday the 15th Miles Ayden Mueller was born. 4 lbs., 13oz. and 18 inches long. By the way, we had massages scheduled this day to celebrate our anniversary. They never happened. He spent about three weeks in NICU, which was a very hard time in all our lives. We made it with God's help and he is now 7.5 months and very healthy. And a red head. Moving on.....
In July Jeremy got a new job as a Controls Engineer and he is loving it. His bosses finally treat him with the respect he deserves. We are SO proud of him.
Also in July we took a trip "home" to Billings and visited family. It was great to see my brother, sister-in-law, and their two kids. We had a great time with both sets of our parents. We also hung out with Jeremy's friend from high school. That was nice.
In August I went back to work part-time. I was President of the Idaho Optometric Physicians-Paraoptometric Board this last year and had to plan our annual convention which took place in September. That was a ton of fun. At the convention, I was honored to receive the 2007 Idaho Paraoptometric of the Year award. That meant a lot to me.
In November my parents and other brother came to visit us. That was a great, fast weekend. Next time, we will have to make them stay longer so we can go north. We are so glad they came to visit. At Thanksgiving, Jeremy's family came to visit. That was great. We made another wonderful Thanksgiving dinner and ate too much as always.
Finally in December, we spent Christmas and New Year's with loved ones and friends, which we always enjoy. We had a wonderful and BUSY year. God has blessed us with many family and friends and good health AND he continues to bless us. We can't wait to see what is in store for us this year.

What a great recap of the year's events!! Great pictures, and a great story. We miss you all and hope to see you soon.

Aaron and I just got back this afternoon from an overnight stay at a Forest Service cabin in the woods. It was quite rustic, but nice. No running water, electricity, or heat. There was a hand pump well outside, a wood stove for heat, and a wood stove for cooking, propane lanterns and an outhouse out back. We stayed plenty warm and stayed up half the night playing games and reading. It will sleep six comfortably so will have to fill it up with you all sometime. Mom was working or we would have made her go.

Miss you all and hope to see you soon.

Love,
Dad, Mom, and Aaron
